Background

PDQ is blurring the lines between fast food and fast casual with its high-touch approach to fresh food, fast. The restaurant chain has 62 locations across Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, and New York. With the launch of a new sandwich menu, PDQ saw an opportunity to enhance their media campaign through innovative technology

Solution

PDQ implemented Glui's technology to enable frictionless transactions and capture first-party customer data in a promotional campaign across Meta. They targeted broad audiences within a 10 mile radius of select Florida stores, allowing customers to order their sandwich meal for pickup or delivery through an optimized checkout flow. Glui’s integration with PDQ’s online ordering platform, Olo, enabled real-time order processing as well as insight into the intersection of customer’s historical data and their behavior within a checkout flow.

Results

PDQ saw strong conversion rates from Playrcart’s technology overlaid on high quality, offer-led creatives. In addition to customer data, Glui captured first-party performance and behavioral data through the Glui dashboard and used it to implement functional optimizations to the user journey in real-time. The social campaign drove efficient customer acquisition and loyalty program sign-ups through a frictionless ordering process. Glui and Olo combined conversion and loyalty data for additional insight into PDQ’s goals of customer acquisition and loyalty.
